If you are passionate about cooking, baking or entertaining than you will certainly think that J.K. Adams makes cool stuff. For over 70 years we have been designing and crafting the finest quality cutting boards, serve ware, knife storage, wine and stemware racks, and rolling pins for people’s kitchens and homes. All of our products are produced in Dorset, VT from sustainably grown North American hardwoods and come with a lifetime guarantee.
J.K. Adams products are sold across the country in specialty kitchen, gift, hardware, and home stores, as well as through many well-known large retailers. We are proud to be one of Crate & Barrel and William Sonoma’s oldest suppliers and continue to work with them to develop great new products that are in keeping with the current cooking and entertaining trends.
Our products are what most people know us for, but our employees are what set us apart. We have an extremely knowledgeable and dedicated team. Most of our employees have been with us for over 15 years and a few have called our company home for over 30 years (one over 40!).
As part of our business mission, we believe that business has a responsibility to help address and be a force of good when it comes to social and environmental issues. Some of the ways we accomplish this is by:
• Providing three days of paid medical leave to our employees.
• Working with sustainably grown and harvested North American hardwoods.
• Limiting our use of fossil fuels by heating primarily with local wood.
• Collecting and recycling our sawdust for use by local dairy farmers.
• Supporting local farmers by hosting the winter Dorset Farmers Market.
We are proud to be part of Vermont’s rich woodworking history and love to show people what we do. If you are in Dorset, we encourage you to stop in and take a look around. You are sure to enjoy The Kitchen Store, our three story retail store and during the week you will see us hard at work in the factory creating some great new kitchen and entertaining products.
